Adam to Noah
'In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens opened. And rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights.'
Genesis 7:11-12.
1. Adam
Lived 930 years (0 - 930) 'When Adam had lived a hundred and thirty years; he became a father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years; and he had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.'Genesis 5:3-5.
Age: 130 years plus 800 years = 930 years
Chronology: 0 years plus 130 years = 130 years
2. Seth
Lived 912 years (130 - 1042) 'When Seth had lived a hundred and five years he became the father of Enosh. Seth lived after the birth of Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.'Genesis 5:6-8.
Age: 105 years plus 807 years = 912 years
Chronology: 130 years plus 105 years = 235 years
3. Enosh
Lived 905 years (235 - 1140) 'When Enosh had lived ninety years he became the father of Kenan. Enosh lived after the birth of Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years, and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.'Genesis 5:9-11.
Age: 90 years plus 815 years = 905 years
Chronology: 235 years plus 90 years = 325 years
4. Kenan
Lived 910 years (325 - 1235) 'When Kenan had lived seventy years, he became the father of Mahalalel. Kenan lived after the birth of Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years, and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.'Genesis 5:12-14.
Age: 70 years plus 840 years = 910 years
Chronology: 325 years plus 70 years = 395 years
5. Mahalalel
Lived 895 years (395 - 1290) 'When Mahalalel had lived sixty-five years, he became the father of Jared. Mahalalel lived after the birth of Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.'Genesis 5:15-17.
Age: 65 years plus 830 years = 895 years
Chronology: 395 years plus 65 years = 460 years
6. Jared
Lived 962 years (460 - 1422) 'When Jared had lived a hundred and sixty-two years he became the father of Enoch. Jared lived after the birth of Enoch eight hundred years and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.'Genesis 5:18-20.
Age: 162 years plus 800 = 962 years
Chronology: 460 years plus 162 years = 622 years
7. Enoch
Lived 365 years (622 - 987) 'When Enoch had lived sixty-five years, he became the father of Methuselah. Enoch walked with God after the birth of Methuselah three hundred years, and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.'Genesis 5:21-24.
Age: 65 years plus 300 years = 365 years
Chronology: 622 years plus 65 years = 687 years
8. Methuselah
Lived 969 years (687 - 1656) 'When Methuselah had lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, he became the father of Lamech. Methuselah lived after the birth of Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had other sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.'Genesis 5:25-27.
Age: 187 years plus 782 years = 969 years
Chronology: 687 plus 187 years = 874 years
9. Lamech
Lived 777 years (874 - 1651) 'When Lamech had lived a hundred and eighty-two years, he became the father of a son, and he called his name Noah, saying, "Out of the ground which the Lord has cursed this one shall bring us relief from our work and the toil of our hands". Lamech lived after the birth of Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and had others sons and daughters. Thus all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.'Genesis 5:28-31
Age: 182 years plus 595 years = 777 years
Chronology: 874 years plus 182 years = 1056 years
10. Noah
Lived 950 years (1056 - 2006) 'After the flood Noah lived three hundred and fifty years. All the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years; and he died.'Genesis 9:28-29.
'After Noah was five hundred years old, Noah became the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth.'
Genesis 5:32.
'And Noah was four hundred and ninety-eight years old, when he took Naamah for a wife. And Naamah conceived and bare a son, and he called his name Japheth, saying, God has enlarged me in the earth; and she conceived again and bare a son, and he called his name Shem, saying, God has made me a remnant, to raise up seed in the midst of the earth. And Noah was five hundred and two years old when Naamah bare Shem, and the boys grew up and went in the ways of the Lord, in all that Methuselah and Noah their father taught them.'

'Cush [one of the sons of Ham] became the father of Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.'
Genesis 10:8-10.
'Now the whole earth had one language and few words. And as men migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. And they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly." Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its tops in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered aboard upon the face of the whole earth.'
Genesis 11:1-5.
'And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower. "Come let us go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they
left off building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.'
