The Chart

| The latest Edition of the chart. |
I have titled the chart 'Biblical Chronology' with the added phrase of Standard Orthodox Edition Version 2.0. The word Standard is meant to imply that I have tried not to make any alterations to the timeline from the details recorded in the bible though of course there are the two interregnums that have been added. Apart from that I have tried to be faithful to the biblical account of history and hopefully I have done this and not made any errors or departures from this goal. The term Orthodox was placed there to state that the information derived principally from the orthodox bible. The Version number simply gives me the chance of making alteration to the chart should I wish to do so, perhaps to alter the chart's appearance, with the Version number keeping track of these alterations.
The chart is an approximately A0 (approximately 840mm x 1188mm) sized chart which is a graphical representation of the chronology of the old testament from Adam to Zedekiah. It takes the form of a bar chart with the bars initially representing the lives of the individual, from Adam to Joshua inclusively; and then representing the reign of the monarchs from Saul to Zedekiah. There is also a use of colour coding for the bars: the antediluvians individuals from Adam to Noah are colour in red; from Seth to Joseph these are coloured yellow; Moses and Joshua are coloured in blue; and the monarchs are coloured in a green.
The kings of Judah and Israel have not had their conventional dates in BC added to the graph all that is except from Hezekiah, king of Judah, who is conventionally dated at about 715-686 BC. This is because there would be discrepancies between the conventionally dated reigns and those dates taken strictly from the bible. The key date of 701 BC, when Sennacherib king of Assyria invades Judah, is the major pivotal date and all other dates can be worked out from this. The reigns of all the monarchs and individuals listed on the chart are given in biblical years not in BC dating. Only events like the Flood and the Exodus are given in BC dates as well as biblical years.
There are various biblical quotes that I have decided to incorporate in to the design, and these make the chart very wordy. There are also some omissions that might annoy people, as I have left out, for example, the period known as the Judges. However I have tried to include all the main lineage and hopefully I have completed this correctly.
The price for one chart will be seventy-five pounds sterling (£75:00) and this include packaging and postage, so there will be no other costs to consider. You will receive the print rolled up inside a postage tube.
In all cases please allow for 35 days for delivery.
