About this site

I just wanted to say a few words about this site. There may be some of you out there who are wondering at its simplicity or that one or two features that don't quite look right on your computer screen. I could have opted to use some software to get some real glitzy site together, which have would looked the real deal and have loads of gadgets on the WebPages using plenty of JavaScript. However I decided to try and write my own HTML code and slowly build this site up, and so it has been designed and written by myself, which for all my enthusiasm, I will have to admit to being only an amateur programmer at best. I hope my efforts have been worthwhile. It has been a steep learning curve but I have quite enjoyed it and don't really have any regrets about doing things the hard way.

As a result of this being my own work there will be some browsers that don't show some of these pages as I would have liked them to look. If you are using the old Internet Explorer 6 then I know that the top part of the WebPages don't really look as good as it should. The best browsers to use for this site are Internet Explorer 7 upwards and Mozilla 3.0. I have designed this site with these browsers in mind. Others browsers such as Opera and Safari work ok too but Safari did seem to mess up my site counter, which I have since removed so as to eliminate the problem, but might put this back at later stage as it is only ever on the bottom of Home page of the site. However if this or any other irregularities appear I do hope these do not spoil the pleasure of the site for you, and hopefully the contents of the site will far outweigh any technical issues. If you do notice any problems with the site then I do hope that you will feel free to come and email me and tell me about the issue. I would be very grateful if you would do this so that I can attempt to sort out the problem or at least be aware of it and growl to myself about it.

I did have a forum on this site but have since removed it as I think I was a bit premature in launching it and was not entirely happy with the software I was using. I might at some later stage decided to try programming my own (GULP). However if you feel that you would like to comment about the site or the issues raised please feel free to contact me, and you can state whether you would like me to post your comments on the site or not. I would also consider posting up some people's profiles on here if you think that you would like to have your profile on here that would be great. In the future this is something that I would like to charge for but since this site is in the early stages of development then I will do this for free. Especially since I will be doing this manually at first expecting you to send me via an email a picture and a few details you would like to include. This site is also always interested in linking up with others sites in a mutual links exchange.
